Warranty Policy
At SimpelHaus, we want every product to arrive as expected and perform as intended under normal household use. This Warranty Policy explains the warranty coverage for our essential oils, diffusers, home accessories, and compressed sofa range.
This warranty applies to products purchased directly from SimpelHaus. Please keep your order confirmation or proof of purchase, as this may be required when making a warranty claim.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Any warranty provided by SimpelHaus is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and does not limit or replace those rights.

Compressed Sofa Warranty
Our compressed sofas and lounges include a 6 Month Manufacturer Defect Warranty from the date of delivery.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal residential use, including:
- Major stitching or seam faults
- Foam or cushioning defects caused by manufacturing faults
- Fabric workmanship defects
- Other functional issues caused by manufacturing defects
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, incorrect assembly, improper handling, commercial use, damage caused by pets, stains, odours, burns, cuts, fabric pilling, fading, or damage caused by cleaning products or unsuitable cleaning methods.
Compressed Sofa Recovery
Compressed sofas may require time to fully expand and settle after unpacking. Please allow up to 72 hours for the sofa to recover its intended shape. In some cases, full recovery may take longer depending on room temperature, storage time and product design.
Minor wrinkles, creases, fabric marks, firmness variation, foam settling and small measurement differences are considered normal characteristics of compressed furniture and are not regarded as manufacturing defects.
Essential Oils
Due to the nature of essential oil products, returns or warranty claims may not be accepted if the product has been opened, used, damaged after delivery, or the tamper evident seal has been broken, unless the product is faulty or otherwise covered under Australian Consumer Law.
If you receive an incorrect, damaged or faulty essential oil product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue.
Diffusers
Diffusers are covered for manufacturing faults under normal household use for 6 months from the date of delivery.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, incorrect cleaning, water damage outside normal product use, essential oil residue build-up, accidental damage, power surges, unauthorised repairs or failure to follow the product instructions.
Home Accessories
Home accessories are covered for manufacturing faults for 6 months from the date of delivery, unless a different warranty period is stated on the product page.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, incorrect care, damage caused during handling after delivery, or changes in natural materials such as timber grain, colour variation or minor surface differences.
What Is Not Covered
Unless required under Australian Consumer Law, this warranty does not cover:
- Change of mind
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect or accidents
- Incorrect assembly, installation or handling
- Damage caused by pets, children, stains, spills, odours, burns or sharp objects
- Damage caused by unsuitable cleaning products or cleaning methods
- Commercial, rental or non-residential use
- Minor colour, texture, grain, fabric or finish variations
- Minor measurement differences within normal manufacturing tolerance
- Products modified, repaired or altered without approval from SimpelHaus
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact us with the following information:
- Your order number
- Your full name and contact details
- A clear description of the issue
- Clear photos or videos showing the issue
- Photos of the packaging, if the item arrived damaged
Our customer service team will review your claim and may request additional information to assess the issue properly.
Warranty Assessment
Once your claim has been reviewed, SimpelHaus may offer a suitable remedy depending on the nature of the issue. This may include replacement parts, repair, replacement, store credit or refund where required under Australian Consumer Law.
For bulky items such as compressed sofas and lounges, we may first request photos or videos before arranging any return, repair or replacement.
Returns for Warranty Claims
Please do not return any product without contacting us first. Returns must be approved by SimpelHaus before being sent back.
If a product needs to be returned for assessment, we will provide instructions on the return process. Items should be returned in a safe and secure condition, including original packaging where possible.
Where the issue is confirmed to be a manufacturing fault or covered under Australian Consumer Law, SimpelHaus will provide a suitable remedy in accordance with your rights.
Shipping Costs for Warranty Returns
If a return is required due to a confirmed fault, incorrect item or issue covered under Australian Consumer Law, SimpelHaus will assist with the appropriate return process.
For returns that are not related to a fault or warranty issue, customers may be responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping fees are generally non-refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
Sale Items
Sale items are covered by the same Australian Consumer Law guarantees as regular priced items.
Unless required under Australian Consumer Law, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on sale items for change of mind.
